About My Clients
I work with individuals and couples, particularly BIPOC, to share their thoughts freely, explore challenges, and to develop solutions and coping mechanisms that support overall wellness. We examine challenges at work, anxiety, and parts of our environment that feel out of our control, like infertility, or the impact of racism and microaggression. I support you in unpacking your thoughts and feelings, and strengthening coping tools and interpersonal skills that will allow you to restore balance.
My Background and Approach
You deserve to feel understood and find that peace of mind you are looking for. I use a psychodynamic approach and integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness and explore your attachments to understand how your relationships impact your experience. In our therapeutic space, we glean a deeper understanding of who you are and highlight and cultivate safe, intimate connections. We create adaptive and more rewarding habits by recognizing the unhealthy thought and behavior patterns that limit us in our daily lives. I earned my master’s degree from New York University Silver School of Social Work. Prior to Jennifer Mann Therapy I specialized in Brief Strategic Family Therapy and worked with families to de-escalate conflict, support changing interaction patterns, and recognize and celebrate wins. I have completed the Maternal Mental Health Professional Certificate Training and Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy Training from Postpartum Support International.
