About My Clients
You seek help because your life is not going as you think it should. It’s hard to make sense of the world around you because of distracting thoughts and difficult emotions. I will help you to unpack and sort out those thoughts that you keep to yourself and cause you distress. Talking about it with me can help you to make sense of your emotions, actions and relationships with others. It’s no easy task to challenge the story of You. I can help to confront old beliefs that cause confusion and pain.
My Background and Approach
My primary approach is relational, or humanistic. I consider myself a trauma-informed therapist. Meaning I not only talk to you about what is going on in your life now, but also want to know about past events in your life. This allows us to discuss your whole life and put your current issues in a deeper perspective. We will not only approach of our discussions through my psychological training, but also with CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), philosophical psychology, Buddhist/mindfulness techniques, and my own life experiences and past struggles.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My perspective of humanity is one of inclusiveness for each of us. We/you are born into this life with inherent worth, with a belongingness to this existence, this life on Earth, as your birthright.
