I utilize Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD as well as a Narrative Therapy (NT) approach for folks that this works better with. Both processes involve work in between sessions and are highly effective in assisting individuals move through their trauma in a structured way with the therapy as the platform and safety net.

I have my own style of Empowerment Therapy (ET) that seeks to highlight the transparency of the human condition as a catalyst for change. Every client can active goals by belief in themselves, drawing upon preexisting strengths, as well as feeling empowered by their therapist they are capable of making the change they want in their life.

I have my own relationship therapy structure for couples post-affair, pre-marital, as well as couples already established who want to work on tweaking things or improving communication.

CBT in my practice focused on the linkage between Events, Thoughts, Feelings, and Behavioral Output. As we fill in the worksheets and charts, we can get a better understanding of patterns of behavior that have emerged that are generally maladaptive in nature.

CPT focuses on reframing maladaptive thought patterns that are making trauma feelings worse. We seek to examine the validity of thoughts related to trauma and reframe them to healthier versions that are more realistic to what happened with appropriate blame assigned (self, world, others, etc.).
