About My Clients

I work best with thoughtful adults and couples who feel stuck in patterns of emotional disconnection, conflict, burnout, or emotional shutdown. Many of my clients appear capable outwardly but struggle privately with overthinking, shame around vulnerability, relationship stress, or difficulty expressing their needs. I specialize in attachment-focused therapy that helps people understand and change the deeper emotional patterns beneath conflict, distance, and self-protection.

My Background and Approach

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing attachment-focused therapy for adults and couples in Washington State. My work is grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and trauma-informed, relational approaches that help clients understand and change the deeper emotional patterns driving conflict, anxiety, burnout, emotional shutdown, or disconnection. I work especially well with thoughtful, self-aware adults and couples who appear capable outwardly but feel stuck in painful relational dynamics underneath. Many struggle with overthinking, shame around vulnerability, difficulty expressing needs, emotional reactivity, or feeling disconnected from themselves or the people closest to them. I also work with adults recovering from emotionally unstable, critical, neglectful, or humiliating early relationships that continue to shape connection and self-worth today.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe people are fundamentally shaped for connection, growth, and resilience, even when life experiences have led them to protect themselves through emotional shutdown, overthinking, conflict, or self-doubt. My work is grounded in the belief that meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to understand themselves more honestly and relate to others more authentically. I value creativity, emotional depth, curiosity, and the freedom to define a meaningful life and relationships that fit who you are while remaining connected to community and the people you care about. Clients often experience me as intuitive, grounded, direct, and compassionate. I work especially well with thoughtful adults who grew up around emotional instability, criticism, neglect, or humiliation and now struggle with emotional disconnection, burnout, vulnerability, or recurring relationship patterns.
