Accepting Clients

Hi there! I'm AL - a queer, multiracial Latine, non-monogamous, creative/musician, neurodivergent therapist & coach located in Brooklyn.

About My Clients

I'm able to see therapy clients who are located in California, and coaching clients located anywhere! I see clients weekly virtually and in person in my Brooklyn, NY office. I am passionate about supporting clients in identity formation/exploration/affirmation, and especially those who live somewhere in the LGBTQIA2+, BIPOC, multiracial, neurodivergent, and non-monogamous/poly spectrums.

My Background and Approach

My work is grounded in liberation-focused, anti-oppressive, decolonizing, abolitionist, and feminist frameworks, and I am an eclectic, or integral therapist, meaning I pull from different modalities (Gestalt, Psychodynamic, Narrative, Attachment-based, Somatic, and more) to support my clients and co-create the space that feels most supportive, authentic, and powerful for you. I am warm, nonjudgmental, direct, gently challenging, mindful, and bring in humor and self disclosure to further create a safe space to bring all your parts and your full self. I move at the speed of trust and use mindfulness and parts work to support our work together. I value consent and choice, as well as your innate wisdom, and I believe the relationship between us can be a powerful part of the healing journey.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that you are not broken - that with the right external and internal supports, we can come into more awareness, choice, and integration - leading us to more liberation and joy in our lives. I have lived experience with attachment and narcissistic wounding, divorce, loss of a parent, CPTSD, depression, and late-diagnosed unmedicated ADD. I proudly consider myself a misfit, a weirdo, a rebel, a bruja. I am committed to liberation and sovereignty for all beings. I understand the unique experience of "in between-ness," or living between worlds, as a mixed race/multiracial, bisexual/queer person. I am passionate about supporting folx who don't usually get to have their identities reflected in the therapeutic space.

I have experience with the following
  • Agnosticism
  • Atheism
  • Buddhism
  • Christianity
  • Wicca/Paganism
  • Multifaith
