I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over six years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges. I’ve worked with children, teens, and adults in diverse settings, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, and self-esteem. As a licensed yoga instructor, I integrate therapeutic movement, breathwork, and mindfulness into my practice, offering a unique, holistic approach to mental health. My experience in school, outpatient, and private practice settings has equipped me to support clients through a variety of challenges. Whether it’s a child struggling with emotional regulation, a teen navigating the complexities of adolescence, or an adult seeking balance amidst life’s demands, I tailor my approach to meet your specific needs. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a Black woman and mental health professional, I am deeply committed to creating safe, affirming spaces for individuals from diverse backgrounds, particularly those in marginalized communities. I believe in the importance of addressing systemic barriers to mental health care and strive to provide culturally responsive therapy that honors each client’s unique experiences and identity. I am passionate about supporting the mental well-being of Black and BIPOC individuals, women, and those navigating the intersections of race, culture, and mental health. I am also an advocate for mindfulness and movement as tools for healing, empowerment, and self-discovery, and I incorporate these practices into my work to foster growth and resilience. Outside of my practice, I am involved in community-building initiatives that promote connection and wellness within the Black community.
