About My Clients
The populations I best serve are busy professional women and early career graduate and medical students, helping them find harmony with their values while juggling multiple roles, responsibilities and demands. I am also passionate about working with new moms and parents. My ideal clients are those who experience depression, anxiety, stress (including work and race), relationship issues, life adjustments and transitions and are want to make a change.
My Background and Approach
I have a PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Houston, a Master’s degree in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. I completed an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship at Pacific Clinics and an APA accredited two-year post-doctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital, Los Angeles. I have 13 years of clinical experience working with clients across multiple settings (e.g., hospitals, schools, VA medical center, academic medical center, inpatient, juvenile probation, community mental health, private practice), conduct and publish research, and facilitate professional and community workshops, trainings, presentations, and retreats. I craft a safe and brave space for you to share your past experiences, explore your thoughts and feelings, and teach strategies that empower behavioral change and healthy living.
