About My Clients
You may be dealing with anxiety, relationship conflict or a major change and feel unsure where to begin. Perhaps your family is struggling, your child needs support or neurodiversity is affecting school, work or relationships. I work with children, adolescents, adults and families. We’ll understand what feels most difficult, then break it into smaller goals that feel possible from where you are now. To work with me, book through my website.
My Background and Approach
My style is collaborative, inclusive and person-centered. I’ll spend time getting to know you and understanding what you want from therapy rather than deciding that for you. We’ll explore the challenges together and work out which changes feel most important to begin with. I use CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness and holistic approaches. I also draw from expressive arts and drama therapy, which can offer another way to explore something when talking about it directly feels difficult. The work will look different depending on your age, needs and goals. I’ll support and encourage you, but I’ll also gently challenge you and hold you accountable when it may help. We’ll turn larger goals into smaller steps, practice skills between sessions and pay attention to the progress you’re making along the way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are more likely to make meaningful changes when they feel understood rather than judged. You don’t have to arrive at therapy with a perfect explanation of what is wrong or know exactly how to fix it. We can take time to understand what is happening and begin with one part of it. I also believe there is no single right way to engage in therapy. Some people think through talking, while others understand themselves better through creativity, reflection or trying something in practice. I want our work to make room for the way you naturally express yourself, while still helping you move toward the goals that matter to you.
