About My Clients
Maybe your marriage feels disconnected, your family is caught in the same painful patterns, or anxiety and stress have left you overwhelmed. You want more than temporary relief—you want lasting change. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families who are ready to strengthen relationships, improve communication, heal from past hurts, and build a healthier, more hopeful future together.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Colorado Christian University and have advanced training in Gottman Method, Prepare/Enrich, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), family systems, and emotionally focused interventions. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe people are incredibly resilient. Even when life feels overwhelming or relationships seem broken, change is possible. I work with individuals, couples, and families facing anxiety, relationship conflict, anger, attachment concerns, parenting challenges, and major life transitions. Together, we'll identify unhealthy patterns, build practical skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. My goal is simple: to help you leave each session with greater hope, practical tools, and confidence that healing and growth are possible.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My Christian faith has shaped my belief that every person has inherent worth, purpose, and the ability to grow through even life's most difficult seasons. While I'm happy to thoughtfully integrate biblical principles into therapy for clients who request it, I believe counseling should honor each person's unique values, beliefs, and goals. I also have a heart for serving families and children and have volunteered as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), advocating for children involved in the court system. That experience strengthened my passion for helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life's challenges with compassion, honesty, and hope. I believe healing begins with genuine connection, practical tools, and the confidence that lasting change is possible. My goal is for every client to feel heard, respected, and encouraged from our very first conversation.
