About My Clients
My ideal client is someone who is ready to engage in therapy and open to making changes. I am a hands-on therapist that believes therapy should be an equal relationship. I am interactive, pragmatic, and direct, while at the same time being understanding, empathetic, and caring. I believe that therapy should help to address your current situation(s) first, then investigate possible underpinnings. I specialize in LGBTQ+ individuals, supporting them through every life stage and transition.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic interventions are an eclectic blend of CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, psychodynamic, solution-focused, using strength-based techniques. I strive to be culturally sensitive, multiculturally informed, and culturally competent. I bring my personality to my sessions, a feminist, body positive, LGBTQ allied, and believe Black Lives Matter.
