About My Clients
With a desire to be more present and living more intentionally, I work with people who want to unlock their inner wisdom. Must have a strong desire to unpack their emotional baggage and examine the stories they tell themselves and others, even if they're afraid and don't know how . No longer wanting to embody a victim mentality, I help those ready to reframe their past life experiences in order close a life chapter or create a better ending to their story.
My Background and Approach
I believe in having a comprehensive and holistic approach—all areas of a person's life are interconnected, borrowing from and compensating for one another. I believe "feelings are not facts," acknowledging feelings + behaviors as feedback and attempts to communicate an unmet need. I believe in working collaboratively in session to accommodate each individual's unique needs/wants, drawing from the appropriate modalities to assist in their healing and development. Educated from the University of Southern California with a Masters Degree in Social Work and trained as a Certified Catalyst through JRNI Wellness Group. Trained and knowledgable of psychodynamic theories, Functional Behavior Analysis, trauma informed care, and Positive Psychology.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in healing through storytelling and collecting life experiences. I have faith in developing a growth mindset because it inspires people to become their own catalysts for change. I view all trauma is a form of psychological injury (not a disorder). I fully endorse Mental Wellness by diverting away from victimhood and discouraging the integration of pathology into your identity. Because I have moved away from looking at happiness under a traditional binary lens, I believe in giving clients agency within the therapeutic process to explore their beliefs and encourage them to fully embrace who they are. I believe in validating all experiences and meeting people where they are because people deserve to be seen and heard. I discourage the overuse and abuse of "toxic positivity," as it has potential to do more harm than good. Personally engaged in sports and weightlifting activities, as well as a penchant for alternative healing. Self professed neuropsychology nerd.
