Anxiety is a normal and often healthy emotion. However, when a person regularly feels disproportionate levels of anxiety, it might become a medical disorder. In therapy, I support clients with anxiety build awareness of triggers, strengthen coping skills and practicing techniques to challenge anxious thoughts.

Depression affects people in different ways. Most people feel sad or hopeless and there are a range of other symptoms. Depression can affect your mind, body and behavior. I support clients who struggle with depression change the negative thinking patterns to healthy thoughts, strengthen their voice and sense of self to reduce negative self talk.

Emotional and psychological trauma is the result of extraordinarily stressful events that shatter your sense of security, making you feel helpless in a dangerous world. Psychological trauma can leave you struggling with upsetting emotions, memories, and anxiety that won’t go away. With trauma, I use an integrative approach pulling from narrative, humanistic and person-centered. For clients who are interested, I offer to provide EMDR therapy.
