About My Clients
While I am trained to address various mental health concerns, I specialize in Perinatal Mental Health. I am also uniquely equipped to help women and their families with this difficult time, because I faced challenges with postpartum myself. Please join me on a journey towards healing.
My Background and Approach
Being multicultural and having lived in different continents both as an educator and therapist offers me a global perspective, and sensitivity to cultures and intersectional identities. My work is built on respecting peoples’ agency and lived experiences. What drives the therapeutic relationship is keeping mutual collaboration fresh and dynamic. I am certified in trauma focused therapy and extensively trained in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and family therapy. I also have considerable training in CBT at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and Beck Institute. While I treat a wide range of concerns, I specialize in helping clients heal from trauma and perinatal mental health concerns-including pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders, infertility, loss and the ongoing journey of parenthood.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist, I approach my work through a trauma informed lens and am particularly adept at working with various cultures. My diverse background and interactions with intersectional identities enable me to use culturally competent approaches while keeping collaboration engaging and relevant.
