About My Clients

Life before the quarantine was never an issue.  Now your relationships have become complicated.  You want to thrive, but you feel stuck.  How can you start feeling normal and thriving again?  It can seem like a process. Transitioning from a quarantined situation like 2020 is daunting.  We question our anxieties, fears, and sense of self.  However, reimagining life, focusing on the present, working on growth, and learning new skills engages a person’s motivation to create positive change.

My Background and Approach

I am a graduate-level mental health intern at NYU who believes that life is an evolving journey. I believe engaging individuals to reframe their thinking can promote individual growth in a way that helps them to explore their unrealized potential. At the same time, the individual can address their concerns and insecurities in a safe, nonjudgmental space. My approach to psychotherapy is an integrative one. Individuals do not live life in a vacuum. Life happens – work, family, health issues, and the emotions accompanying them all intersect and affect how individuals react or respond to others. I believe therapy, tailored to the individual, helps a person to explore their narrative and to attain their full potential. I incorporate mindfulness and a strength-based approach, and behavioral methods to help restructure your negative self-talk, thoughts, and doubts that keep you stuck. Therapy with me is about acquiring strategies that empower you in your personal and professional life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am an ally of the LGBTQIA+ community and a firm believer in self-awareness and finding your own voice to advocate for yourself. I support accessibility to mental health and wellness for everyone. We all have stressors and anxieties that need to be acknowledged and managed rather than allowing these obstacles to manage us. Being stuck is a matter of not recognizing our available choices due to old, negative thought patterns. Breaking down these obstructions can help create an opportunity for self-awareness, growth and positive change.
