About My Clients
My mission is to help you get through your daily struggles, negative thoughts, doubts, worries, and other pain points. I am glad you are here because none of my experience and education will be impactful without you and without your conscious decision to take the first step, look at your own pain courageously, and move towards healing.
My Background and Approach
I have earned a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, a master's degree in Clinical Psychology, and I am currently in the 4th year of a Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), but I often draw from different orientations because we are all different, and there is no "one size fits all" treatment. Sessions are always individualized and tailored to my client’s needs. I have gained a wealth of experience from my practicum and internship placements at the local VA clinic working with veterans, inpatient psychiatric hospital, and community-based counseling.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a great advocate for Carl Rogers' idea of unconditional positive regard and I genuinely believe that a strong and trusting relationship with a client makes all the difference.
