About My Clients
My interest in counseling began on The Trevor Project’s suicide prevention/crisis intervention lifeline. My early career focused on working with LGBTQIA+ youth at The Ali Forney Center before transitioning to an outpatient hospital clinic for adolescents and adults with HIV/AIDS. During the pandemic, I have worked frequently with people who suffer from long covid and grief. I also have experience with individuals seeking therapy for depression, anxiety, trauma, transracial adoption, and autism.
My Background and Approach
I graduated with my Master of Social Work (MSW) with a concentration on LGBTQIA+ populations from New York University, where I also attained my Seminar in Field Instruction (SIFI) certification. I earned a postgraduate certificate in psychodynamic psychotherapy from the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. Modalities that I use include relational, psychodynamic psychotherapy; patient-centered care; motivational interviewing; harm reduction; guided meditation; and breathing. I am currently accepting new clients for teletherapy (video and phone) in New York, Nebraska, and Florida.
