About My Clients
You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, stuck, or simply unsure of what comes next. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem, stress, and difficulty finding motivation or direction. I especially enjoy supporting women and individuals from underserved communities who want a space where they can feel seen, understood, and supported as they work toward meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
I am a graduate counseling intern completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and providing counseling under clinical supervision. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, strengths-based, and tailored to the individual needs of each client. I believe therapy should be a space where you can show up as yourself without feeling judged or pressured to have everything figured out. I draw from person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, solution-focused strategies, and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients better understand their thoughts and emotions, identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck, develop healthier coping skills, and take manageable steps toward their goals. My professional background in healthcare has also shaped my understanding of how stress, family responsibilities, work, relationships, health, and life transitions can intersect with emotional well-being. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves access to compassionate, culturally responsive mental health care and a therapeutic relationship in which they feel respected, heard, and valued. I am particularly passionate about reducing mental health stigma and increasing access to counseling within communities that have historically experienced barriers to care. Service and community involvement are important to me, and my experiences in healthcare, community service, mentoring, and crisis-support work have strengthened my commitment to helping others. I value authenticity, resilience, personal growth, family, community, and creating space for people to tell their stories without judgment. I also believe therapy does not always have to feel clinical or intimidating. There can be room for reflection, humor, creativity, encouragement, and meaningful conversations while still doing important therapeutic work.
