About My Clients
I provide psychotherapy to children, teens, families, and couples. Maybe you want your child to be able to cope with their feelings. Maybe you want your teen to be more self-sufficient with their responsibilities. Or, perhaps you want to be able to navigate conflict with your partner without it devolving into a fight. I can help you achieve these goals, along with many others.
My Background and Approach
I focus on treating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, stressors, behavioral problems in children/teens, parenting and family issues, academic issues, trauma, and more. I offer in-person or video sessions. I draw from several therapeutic approaches that are known to be effective and produce real change. In most of my work with minor clients I take a whole-family approach, working closely with parents/caregivers in tandem with the child or teen. My ability to collaborate with parents and their children is an approach that sets me apart. With families and couples, I strive to reach further than teaching communication skills. I am able to see the family or couple as a unique system with interpersonal dynamics that are often unverbalized or beyond conscious awareness. I can help families and couples address unspoken and subtle interactional patterns that may be keeping them stuck.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe it is important to do my own inner-work as a psychologist (i.e., I challenge myself to "walk the walk"). I recognize and respect each client's intersectionality. I bring my values of compassion, flexibility, and thoughtfulness into my professional life. I hope to live by those values in every interaction I have with clients. I welcome your inquiries.
