Setting a groundwork of connection and trust through active listening and empathy in fundamental. Next, I aim to understand my client's goals and utilize a combination of cognitive and exposure-based techniques within the framework of TEAM-CBT to treat anxiety--whether it be social anxiety, GAD, OCD, panic attacks, or phobias--to reach dramatic results and recovery in a short timeframe.

I begin by connecting with, empathizing, and understanding my client in order to create a strong working relationship and then moving on to get a clear idea of the client's goals before diving into the deeper work of change. I pull from an array of cognitive techniques in sessions, plus through complementary homework, within the framework of TEAM-CBT to treat depression in my clients and help them make a rapid recovery.

I use a type of CBT called TEAM-CBT which is a framework that incorporated elements of testing, empathy, assessment of motivation, and methods. I find this approach to be structured while also allowing me both to genuinely connect with my clients and form a strong working relationship while also offering powerful tools for change.

I treat clients with OCD and often, for the first time, help them see these challenging through patterns that loop and impact their mood, functioning, and happiness. I use the gold standard method, ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) paired with lots of psychoeducation and support to systematically weaken and crush the though patterns and behaviors used to manage them, leaving my clients feeling free!

Exposure and Response Prevention is a powerful method that I use with clients that are saddled with painful and distressing through loops and behaviors that rob them of joy and happiness and affect them day-to-day. This approach starts with identifying the patterns, providing education around their function and piecing them apart, creading a solid goal and stepwise plan to make changes, then systematically creating experiments inside and outside session to challenge thoughts and break free!
