EMDR is a structured form of therapy that helps people become less impacted by painful or traumatic memories. When our resources to cope with a situation are overwhelmed, we may experience a fight, flight, or freeze response. Without a safe opportunity to work through this stress response, a sense of distress can persist for months or years afterward. EMDR helps your brain to process difficult memories in the safety and support of the present moment, which allows for healing.

I help people improve communication, overcome barriers and heal from painful past events so they can freely experience confidence, intimacy, and pleasure. A variety of issues can be treated through sex therapy, including desire discrepancy, erectile dysfunction, performance anxiety, difficulty achieving orgasm, and changes in sexual functioning due to phase of life or medical conditions. I enjoy working with LBGTQIA+ and kink / BDSM.

When clients come to me with sexual concerns, they often feel isolated and tell me that their self-esteem has been impacted. Many sexual issues can be successfully addressed through sex therapy including low libido, pain, difficulty with orgasm, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, sexual shame, desire discrepancy between partners, and navigating kink / BDSM. I operate from a sex-positive and collaborative perspective.

Whether navigating opening a monogamous relationship, engaging in consensual non monogamy, or practicing polyamory, it is critical to have the ability to make and keep agreements with your partners. Open relationships require strong communication and the ability to be vulnerable. I believe that a wide variety of relationship structures can work, and I enjoy teaching effective skills and tools for communication and emotional regulation.

The default assumption from your family and community when you were born was that you would conform to a binary cisgender heteronormative identity. It takes a lot of courage and personal exploration to realize that this is not the fullest representation of who you are! I can help you to understand yourself more deeply and navigate communication and relationship changes that occur along your transition journey.

When you were born, your caregivers probably assumed that you would follow a binary, cisgender, heteronormative path. For you to recognize that your path is different takes introspection, self-reflection, courage, and social support. Transitioning into your most authentic self an be a lifelong process. I can provide support, encouragement, and expertise as you navigate changes in your relationship to yourself and others.
