A healthy self-esteem is the cornerstone of a fulfilling and emotionally balanced life. It impacts the way we relate to others, our capacity to handle challenges, and our overall happiness. During sessions I promote cognitive restructuring and other mindfulness awareness techniques in order to change negative thoughts helping clients to recognize unhelpful patterns and untrue assumptions that may become a source of anxiety and can derive in other depressive disorders.

Growing up myself a Latinx and having the experience of living abroad in different countries I can focus on helping clients navigate the psychological challenges associated with moving to a new country, including adapting to a different culture, managing cultural conflicts, and integrating their original identity with their new environment. I provide my clients a space to openly discuss their experiences, bridge cultural gaps, and improve communication with their significant others.

Anxiety disorders can severely impair a person’s ability to function at work, school, and in social situations and can interfere with a person’s relationships. Together we can identify specific concerns and develop concrete skills and techniques for coping . Most patients who suffer from anxiety are able to reduce or eliminate symptoms after following short brief treatment. Some others require a more intensive and long term approach. Together we can discuss best treatment approach.

"Almost every problem contains an element of solutions". I help clients to identify their strengths and resources, and build on them to achieve their goal. SFT can help with a variety of concerns, including: Trauma, Substance misuse, Suicide prevention, Behavioral concerns, Emotional concerns, Interpersonal concerns.

I offer a space for reflection and unconditional positive regard where clients can freely express their feelings and discover their own inner and personal motivations that can launch them to change maladaptive responses.

Basically and very simply put, CBT focuses on what is happening here and now to shape our thoughts which in turn influences our mood. I contribute and provide feedback to my clients to consider more helpful, realistic ways of thinking about things by recognizing unhelpful thinking that distorts reality.
