About My Clients
My ideal client is one that allows me to focus on providing therapy services in a safe non-judgmental space to explore their foundations, current experiences, and potential.
My Background and Approach
I am an LCSW and LCDC. For the past 5 years I have been providing services to to people from diverse backgrounds including the chronically mentally ill adults, medically ill, the physically disabled and at-risk elderly, MICA (mentally ill-chemical abuser) patients, and the “worried well”. I specialize in supporting youth and families struggling with challenging behaviors as well as in supporting parents who are coming to terms with the needs of their children. My work with young people is relational and experiential, often incorporating play (depending on the youth’s developmental level and preferences). I also specialize in working with adults experiencing depression. I have comprehensive training in the following therapeutic modalities: Family Systems/Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT),Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we are all influenced by our families, so I often explore the roots of our earliest and most important relationships and how those impact who we are and how we relate to others.
