About My Clients

I work with children who struggle with big emotions—like tantrums at bedtime, screaming over daily routines, or clinging anxiously in new situations—and parents who feel stuck in the same exhausting cycles. I know it can feel frustrating for parents who have already tried validating feelings and using consequences only to find problems are getting bigger. This isn't your fault and I want to work together to figure out strategies that feel good and lead to change.

My Background and Approach

I work collaboratively with parents and children toward positive change. This can feel challenging at times, but if you’re ready to put in the time and effort, I’d love to partner with you to find strategies that truly help your child. If you’re interested in the “how,” I teach skills grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Parent Management Training (PMT). What does this mean? For children with anxiety, I help them develop tools to think more realistically and face their fears, and help parents feel confident supporting them. For children who are acting out, I teach skills that reduce daily struggles and guide parents in building tools that bring more calm and connection at home. I know how hard it is to watch your child get stuck in the same patterns. My goal is to help you create lasting change. If you still have questions & concerns- that's normal! Please reach out so we can schedule a call to see if I would be a good fit!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy is never one-size-fits-all. Let me be the expert in evidence-based strategies, and I invite you to be the expert in your (and your child’s) life. Together, we can discover the tools that help your child feel more confident and help your family thrive. I also know that searching for therapy can stir up a lot of difficult feelings. You may wonder whether therapy will actually help—especially if past experiences fell short. You might worry about being judged, or feel frustrated or ashamed that things have reached this point. Please know that these reactions are completely human. Life is unpredictable, and children don’t come with an instruction manual. You’ve been doing your best with the information and resources you’ve had. Children who are struggling are not “bad,” and neither are their parents. My role is to see the strengths and goodness in both of you and to help translate those strengths into everyday successes.
