About My Clients
If you've spent years holding it together, surviving, managing, keeping the peace, while waiting to be heard, seen and accepted, you're in the right place. I work with people who carry wounds that didn't come with obvious names: childhood trauma, C-PTSD, workplace harm, medical trauma, grief, and the exhaustion of people who survived by becoming invisible. Feeling safe, heard, seen and accepted is my main priority.
My Background and Approach
I offer trauma-informed, body-aware counseling paced entirely by your nervous system. I'm trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based approach that helps process stuck traumatic memories without requiring you to talk through every painful detail. Our work is relational, collaborative, and always in your hands. I have a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University. NCC pending. Trained in NARM through the NARM Training Institute, and IFS-informed. Certified in the Strong Interest Inventory and MBTI.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I came to this work through the long door. I spent more than fifteen years in accounting and finance before becoming a therapist, and what I kept noticing was how many capable, dependable people were carrying something they had never told anyone. That is most of why I am here. I was born in Romania and came to the United States as an adult. I speak Romanian fluently and offer sessions in both languages. That history shapes how I work. I know what it is to be understood in one language and evaluated in another, and I try never to ask anyone to translate their experience into a framework that was not built with them in mind. I believe that most of what brings people to therapy began as a solution. The hypervigilance, the over-functioning, the refusal to be a burden, these were intelligent responses to conditions that required them. I am explicitly LGBTQ2AI+ affirming. Immigrants are welcome regardless of documentation status.
