About My Clients
Adults in early-to-middle adulthood and older teens navigating mood shifts, substance use, trauma, divorce, or identity questions. Many are managing legal or justice-involved stress, or are men who've had little room to name what they're feeling. I work well with clients ready to explore rather than follow a script — sitting with what's true for them, not just labeling it. Grounded in existential therapy with CBT and cognitive tools woven in, for clients wanting depth over a quick fix.
My Background and Approach
I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. My approach is grounded in primarily in existential theory and cognitive behavior therapy, while recognizing that every person's experiences, strengths, and goals are unique. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can share your story at your own pace, without feeling confined to a specific narrative or expectation. Together, we'll work toward meaningful, personalized goals, building practical skills, increasing insight, and creating lasting change that fits your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should make room for the full complexity of a person, not shrink them into a diagnosis or category. We live in a culture that hands out labels faster than ever, often before someone has sat with what an experience actually means to them. Labels aren't wrong, but they can substitute for understanding if we let them. I believe in meeting people as individuals, not a checklist of symptoms — two people can share the same diagnosis or life event and experience it completely differently. I also believe certain populations carry expectations that make it harder to ask for help: men given a narrow script for what they're allowed to feel, or people navigating divorce, legal involvement, or substance use who carry shame that isn't theirs to hold alone. Those experiences don't need softening or judgment — they need understanding. Above all, I believe therapy works best as an honest relationship, not a rehearsed process. I show up direct, warm, and willing to ask real questions
