About My Clients
You want deeper connections with those around you, but there are internal roadblocks you haven’t found a way around. You might feel fear speaking to new people, worry about being “too much”, or unsure others can handle the “real you”. Together, we will be curious and welcoming as we forge you a new path. Our work together will create space for growth and change to happen internally, leading to deeper connections with those around you. Including yourself.
My Background and Approach
I infuse humor, nuance, and empathy into all my work, creating a nonjudgemental space for the complexity that is human life. I am LGBTQIA+ and trans affirming, fat positive/body neutral, and approach all facets of life with a racial justice framework. We will examine the systems you are a part of through an intersectional lens, since all of these parts of you (gender, culture, sexuality, race, spirituality, socioeconomic, etc.) are a foundation of who you are and your healing. I strive to help your full self feel seen, understood, and supported as we navigate the unknown together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that humans are social creatures, and need connection with others for survival. While what "survival" might look like in our modern era might be different from generations before, human relationships are still vital to our emotional well being. My goal is for us to build a human connection within the therapy room that will start as a catalyst to your healing and growth. You'll then be able to take your skills and strengths to relationships outside of the therapy space. I believe it is never too late to change and work towards the life you dream of. When not in the Therapist chair, I enjoy watching long YouTube video essays, playing board games with my friends, and listening to audiobooks. I also have three cats and would love to hear about your furry (or scaly or feathered) friends. I received my undergraduate degree in theatre, leaving me with a love for watching plays and musicals.
