Pts who want to learn to become their own therapist, who want to learn to retrain the mind to think healthy, learn to manage their emotions and win the War of the Mind. I am not the therapist who will you what you want to hear but what is encouraging and helpful. I want you to become your own therapist so you don't need me. This will be the best day as you have learned how to love and like yourself, maybe for the first time and learned the techniques and skills to manage the person in the mirror
My Background and Approach
I have a Master's in Clinical Psychology and was trained by a Psychiatrist post grad for 2 years. I have been a patient, including benefiting from Ketamine treatment. I have helped pts, clinics, MD's learn about ketamine and TMS treatments, both break through game changers in treatment of mental health disorders and substance abuse. I use a variety of techniques and tools, but therapy is typically 8-16 weeks. Around 8 weeks your symptoms should be going from Severe to Moderate, and 16ish moderate to mild. If you have been in therapy for 6 months and got minimally better than something is very wrong. I practice from a faith based perspective but all are welcome. The most important variable in therapy is the relationship. 60% of why pts get better in therapy is the therapeutic relationship and 40% techniques. I will inform you of your diagnoses after our Intake, work with your prescriber, family, friends, and whomever else is needed to help you become an Overcomer.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone is worth knowing, worth unconditional love and acceptance. I am not political as that is not medicine. I will treat every pt the same and so if you are looking for a politically correct therapist, I am not that guy. I am Adam, you are you. We are a team here to treat you and help you. I love Jesus which helps me to know everyone has a story and everyone is as valuable and worthy of Love.
