About My Clients
Many of my clients have lived through trauma, addiction, or systems that left them feeling unheard or judged. They’re often people who don’t trust traditional therapy or have been dismissed by professionals in the past. I work well with clients who want a grounded, real‑world therapist who understands struggle, meets them without judgment, and helps them rebuild at their own pace.
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) and a Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) with over a decade of experience supporting people navigating trauma, addiction, and real-life hardship. My path into this work was shaped by my own lived experiences, which taught me what it means to rebuild, survive systems, and carry stories that don’t fit neatly into clinical boxes. Clients often tell me they feel more understood with me than they have in traditional therapy. My work centers on trauma, co-occurring disorders, and the complex environments people have had to survive. I use a trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and attachment-aware approach that is grounded, direct, and non-judgmental. My goal is to create a space where people who don’t usually trust therapists can feel respected, supported, and safe enough to do the work that matters to them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are shaped by what they’ve survived, not defined by it. My values are rooted in community, resilience, and the understanding that healing often comes from connection, story, and the traditions that ground us. I approach people with honesty, direct communication, and a commitment to meeting them exactly where they are without judgment. My work is influenced by trauma‑informed practice, harm reduction, and the cultural teachings that shaped my understanding of balance, responsibility, and respect. I’m drawn to clients who’ve lived through real hardship and want a therapist who understands struggle, rebuilding, and the strength found in lived experience. Outside of therapy, I stay grounded through community, reflection, and practices that support growth and connection.
