About My Clients
People pleasing is exhausting! Saying "Yes" when you want to say "No," second-guessing yourself about what you "should" or shouldn't" be doing, and "doing it all" to be perceived as valuable, has resulted in you feeling anxious & overwhelmed. You’ve been navigating life through the lenses of societal, family, & historical expectations that have created strains within your thought patterns & behaviors that no longer serve you. Imagine discovering your self-worth and living unapologetically!
My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with 6 years of experience as a practicing therapist. I graduated from Valdosta State University earning my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Master of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I chose to become a Marriage and Family Therapist because of the systemic and relational approach that is used in problem resolution. I believe that problems aren’t just in you or outside of you, but within the relationship in between. To date, I have experience with working with clients within private practice, in-home, and inpatient settings. It’s my goal at Transparent Truth Counseling Services to help clients learn narratives that keep them strained, unlearn unhealthy patterns and behaviors, and relearn narratives or preferred TRUTHS that will better suit their lifestyle.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that one of the biggest hindrances to mental health advancement is not having someone validate your lived experience. Invalidation tends to leave one feeling isolated and alone in their TRUTH. I believe that TRANSPARENCY creates space for normalizing these experiences. I am here to help normalize your lived experience.
