My Background and Approach
I am Abou Diallo, a dedicated Family Nurse Practitioner with advanced degrees from Texas Wesleyan University and the University of Mount Saint Vincent. I hold FNP licenses in New York and New Mexico and am ANCC board certified. My clinical experience spans acute care, chronic disease management, and palliative care, with a strong focus on obesity management. I have a Doctorate in Nursing Practice, with my thesis focused on "Educating Providers on Barriers to Effective Obesity Management." I am also proficient in French, Malinke, and basic Spanish, enabling me to connect with diverse patients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Beyond my professional roles, I am deeply committed to a patient-first approach, ensuring personalized and compassionate care. I am an active member of the Obesity Medicine Association and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, staying updated with the latest in healthcare to provide the best care possible. I value continuous learning and professional growth, which is reflected in my academic achievements and ongoing education. In my personal life, I enjoy soccer, running, and outdoor adventures, which help me stay grounded and energized.
