About My Clients
I work with adolescents and adults seeking support for bipolar disorder, mood disorders, life transitions, anxiety, identity concerns, etc. I have a special interest in helping individuals living with bipolar disorder better understand their cycles and regain emotional balance. I do not work with children.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. I bring years of experience working with adults in both outpatient and intensive settings, including at The Johns Hopkins Hospital. My specialties include mood disorders—particularly bipolar disorder—anxiety, depression, and identity-related concerns. I offer evidence-based, culturally responsive care to help clients gain insight, build stability, and improve emotional wellness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a bilingual Puerto Rican psychotherapist, I value cultural humility, inclusion, and social justice in and outside the therapy room. I’m passionate about creating affirming spaces for LGBTQ+ individuals and communities that have historically been underserved. I believe in the healing power of storytelling, connection, and reclaiming emotional rhythm. My early work in Puerto Rico focused on intimate partner violence prevention and LGBTQ+ advocacy—causes that still shape my clinical lens today. I strive to offer care that is both clinically sound and deeply human.
