About My Clients
I work best with teens and adults, and older adults. I work with individuals with a history of difficulties with interpersonal relationships, trauma, sexual/domestic violence, OCD, anxiety, self-esteem and self-doubt, and attachment difficulties.
My Background and Approach
I am a pre-licensed psychotherapist providing in-person or virtual therapy for adolescents and adults in Minnesota. My work is grounded in a person-centered approach and relational approach. I value taking the time to understand each individual's story, background, and worldview. I emphasize a strong therapeutic relationship where individual's can feel fully authentic and safe. I incorporate mindfulness based CBT therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) modalities to promote acceptance, awareness, and healing. I believe that mindfulness practices can help individuals build self-compassion, awareness, resilience, improve self esteem, and promote overall self-regulation and healing. I also value taking a flexible approach, taking the time to understand an individuals story, and allowing for me to meet each individuals wants and needs in therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy is a space where individuals can feel truly authentic, safe, and understood. I strive to cultivate an environment that promotes self-efficacy, compassion, and acceptance. I value emotional safety and honesty, cultural awareness, and understanding of each individuals story.
