About My Clients
People seek Sex Therapy for a multitude of reasons, often wanting to know if they, or their relationship(s), is "normal." Sometimes folx feel something is missing, they lost a spark or they have a specific obstacle to overcome. I work with people of all ages, genders, sizes, races, abilities, sexualities, lifestyles and relationship structures with the belief that sexuality intersects with all our identities.
My Background and Approach
My background in Social Work grounds me in my belief that clients are experts in their own lives and are a part of co-creating the therapeutic space. We will work together to establish a safe place for exploration and growth. I have extensive training in holistic Sex Therapy and practice from a Sex Positive lens. My work is pleasure and embodiment centered. I believe tuning into the body's inherent wisdom is an important part of healing. There are an infinite number of ways to be a sexual being and there is no right or wrong, good or bad, it is simply about discovering what works best for you. I also practice from a trauma informed lens, acknowledging the significant impact trauma can have on sexuality.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy can be used as a tool for healing in many ways. I acknowledge limitations of therapy in our current oppressive systems, while also believing therapy can be a space for growth and transformation. I prioritize joy, pleasure and exploration.
