About My Clients
I specialize in working with people of color and those who come from immigrant families that want to break generational cycles, let go of old roles, and build more honest, connected relationships. They're often dealing with perfectionism, relationship struggles, or feeling like they’ve lost touch with themselves. Deep down, they just want to feel more confident, connected, and like they’re living a life that actually feels right for them.
My Background and Approach
As a black therapist and child of immigrants, I know how important it is to find someone who understands non-Western cultures. I'm committed to providing culturally responsive and trauma-informed care that feels empowering, affirming, and non-judgmental. Through the use of IFS (Internal Family Systems), EFT (Emotion Focused Therapy), and EMDR, I help adults, teens, and couples foster healthy relationships, improve self-confidence, and live a life that aligns with their values.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I aim to create a space where my clients feel safe to show up as their most authentic selves. I have found that the relationship between clients and therapists works best when built on genuine acceptance, mutual trust, and compassionate accountability. I believe that everyone deserves access to healing spaces—including those who have been marginalized due to their race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or any other aspect of their identity.
