I am here to support you through Life’s demands, helping you develop skills to feel empowered and accepting of your authentic self and your interactions. I am ideal for those looking for personal growth, going through difficult adjustments, holding negative beliefs, and/or struggling with coping with energy-depleting emotions. I am also ideal for the autism spectrum community, as I have a decade of evidence-based experience, as well as those looking for an Enneagram-informed therapist.
My Background and Approach
My favored therapeutic approaches are cognitive-behavioral and humanistic. I believe one’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected, and through nonjudgmental and accepting guidance, one can unlearn the unhelpful patterned ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving. I also believe you are the expert in your Life, so I consider your thoughts -- both conscious and unconscious -- your words and your worldview, within each session, as they can impact your mental health, your relationships, and more. Working with me ensures your true, authentic self is considered, while a genuine and collaborative therapist-client relationship blossoms. Meeting clients where they are at, while offering a safe environment for growth and healing, is important for me. Each session, we work on what is therapeutic for you and your goals, with humor, accountability, and challenge sprinkled into your sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every human has the power within themselves to take control of their lives, make positive changes, and become more than they ever thought they could be. However, we sometimes are so consumed by our external world, that our internal world becomes lost, we forget our potential, we lose our worth, and we form disabling beliefs about ourselves.
