Anxiety can show up at any time and for a number of reasons. When working with clients who struggle with anxiety, a comprehensive assessment is necessary to determine exactly how anxiety is getting in the way of a satisfying life. Following assessment, I generally use a strengths based approach that includes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. This approach incorporates strategies to manage anxiety when it shows up so that you can engage in and create the kind of life you want.

Depression tells us that the things we once enjoyed are no longer worth our time. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy supports you in determining what is most important to you despite what depression tells you. With some support, you can manage depressive thoughts and feelings and return to living the life you deserve.

Sexual Abuse and Assault robs us of the ability to feel safe in our own bodies. There is no one way to recovery from this kind of trauma. My compassion focused, strengths-based approach, allows for clients to work through their experiences at their own pace and in ways that feel most comfortable and safe to them. With support, you may return to a feeling of autonomy, power, and safety.

I have extensive training in the area of trauma and interventions/treatment of trauma. This includes a Certification in Traumatic Studies.
