About My Clients
At times, our vision narrows, and our world constricts; we may feel disconnected from the expansiveness of our lives and lose sight of our true selves. We might feel anxious, isolated, burnt out, numb, overwhelmed, self-critical, or caught in cycles of relating in ways we don’t fully understand. We might feel like too much, or not enough. Maybe you long to get acquainted with yourself on a deeper level, but feel afraid of what might be uncovered in the process.
My Approach to Helping
I believe in the power of genuine presence and connection. My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct. With curiosity and humility, I aim to create a supportive space free of judgment where all parts of you can be witnessed, seen, and feel held, as we cultivate compassionate curiosity about your inner world, together. I find that meaningful change occurs through both insight and lived emotional experience. In our work together, we may bring awareness to past experiences, relational dynamics, and unconscious processes that shape how you relate to yourself and others, including what emerges between us in the therapeutic relationship. Together, we can honor the ways your patterns once served to protect you, while making space for more intentional and aligned ways of being, relating, and moving through the world.
My Values as a Therapist
I view mental health as a process of learning to hold tensions and contradictions in navigating uncertainty, liminality, and complexity while maintaining an authentic relationship to the self and others. From this place, we can see and experience our lives more fully. Centering social justice in both my life and in my clinical work, I offer insight-oriented, trauma-informed care that is attentive to the ways identity, power, and systemic oppression impact our lived experiences, mental health, and broader communities. My practice is informed by intersectional queer liberation, intersectional feminism, anti-racism, and sex positivity. I work with adults, adolescents, and relationships, LGBTQIA2SP+, trans and NB, gender expansive/diverse identities navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, grief, religious trauma, racial and cultural issues, questions of meaning and belonging, addiction, and creative blocks. I invite you to reach out if you feel we may be a good therapeutic fit.
