About My Clients
As an open and inclusive Marriage and Family Therapist, I am trained in highly diverse relationships and life styles. With that said, I firmly believe that all people are people and all love is love, and should be supported with the same gusto. While I have a wide range of experience working with various ages and diagnoses, I currently specialize in relational counseling (couples, pods, open, monogamous, etc.), LGBTQIA+ Individuals, and adoptive families.
My Background and Approach
Life can seem to get away from us, and we just can't seem to catch back up. What can feel like the blink of an eye, something that is meant to be such a beautiful gift, starts to feel like a burden. We stop living. We start just existing. We get stuck. It is in these moments of stuckness that life can feel burdensome. My goal is to create a safe space where we can work together to help you on the path to living life again, not just existing. Throughout my career as an MFT, I have honed my skills and resources to do just that - help you to start living life again. I am well-versed in EFT, the current gold standard for couples therapy. I've sought out extra trainings and resources to be able to adapt my methods to myriad relationship types and sizes. I am an adoption competency trained therapist, which gives me the extra skills and perspectives needed help with the unique challenges adoptive families and adoptees face. I also have special training in LGBTQIA+ and religious trauma.
