My Background and Approach
I’m a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW) working under experienced LMFT supervision, with a Bachelor’s in Africana Studies and specialized training in trauma-informed care. I’ve supported children, teens, and adults through anxiety, life transitions, and complex emotions, integrating evidence-based modalities and mindfulness to help you build practical coping skills. My cultural studies background enhances my ability to create an inclusive, attuned space where your identity and story are honored. Whether you’re learning to name big feelings or rebuilding trust after hardship, my blend of clinical expertise and cultural awareness ensures you receive personalized, compassionate care that fosters resilience, self-understanding, and lasting growth.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My work as a therapist and college minister reflects my deep belief in the dignity, complexity, and resilience of people. I care deeply about creating spaces where people feel safe, seen, and free to explore questions of identity, faith, pain, and hope. My faith shapes my commitment to justice, humility, and compassionate presence. I strive to meet each person with curiosity and respect, whether they share my beliefs or not. My background in Africana Studies also continues to influence my dedication to culturally responsive care and to walking with people whose stories exist at the intersections of race, faith, trauma, and growth.
