About My Clients

Have you been called too sensitive? Told that you over react or you need to take a joke? You may be a Highly Sensitive Person which is a person who is born with a trait that processes sensory information deeply. This in addition to being part of queer communities, bipoc communites, any minority community, or even a sensitive male which is not part of the status quo can leave one with feelings of anxiety, shame, depression, anger etc from a very young age as they learn to cope and survive.

My Background and Approach

Therapy is a relational experience, and I find that this is where the change happens. I collaborate with couples/relationships and individuals to find areas of pain and suffering that require healing. In my work, I focus on creating change and growth through the resilience that is already within. Using my intuition and evidence-based techniques, I aim to develop relational experiences that encourage new ways of being and experiencing life. I have previous and ongoing training in LGBTQ+ Affirmative psychology, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy, Existential, Object Relations, and Psychodynamic theory. All of these are used to varying degrees to find the safest and most empowering pathways to explore how your history influences the present, how your character can transform, and how you have the power to change your destiny.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have long been intrigued by my influence on the world around me and vice versa. During my time in the art world, my passion for conceptual art and people's emotional experiences within systems of oppression informed my decision to study psychology from a social justice perspective. As a clinician, I always question the establishment of contemporary society and existing mental health traditions when working with clients. Rather than take the view of an all-knowing therapist, I utilize my role as a fellow human to facilitate the change you seek. This stance creates a space for a transformative process that involves room to explore how social identities, past traumas, and relationships with the self and others.
