About My Clients
I work with adults who are experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, marital and relationship difficulties, and the emotional challenges that come with everyday life. Some clients are navigating major transitions, while others repeat patterns that interfere with their happiness or relationships. Many are successful in other areas of life but struggle privately with stress, uncertainty, or feeling unfulfilled.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach is person-centered, collaborative, and tailored to the individual. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), solution-focused therapy, and person-centered counseling to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Rather than applying the same techniques to everyone, I adapt our work to your personality, needs, and goals. Therapy may involve challenging unhelpful thinking, improving communication, developing coping skills, or exploring patterns that have developed over time. I believe effective therapy should offer both meaningful insight and practical tools you can use outside our sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I don't believe that seeking therapy means something is wrong with you. Life can be complicated, relationships can be challenging, and even the most capable people sometimes need a different perspective. I see therapy as an opportunity for personal growth, greater self-understanding, and positive change. I also believe that the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important elements of successful therapy. Honesty, trust, mutual respect, and genuine human connection matter. And therapy doesn't always have to be serious. Humor and laughter can be just as valuable as difficult conversations. Above all, I believe people have a remarkable capacity to grow, adapt, and create more fulfilling lives.
