About My Clients
I work well with clients who are both new to therapy or have seen a counselor before. I use a person-centered approach, meaning your comfort throughout the entire process will be of the utmost importance. My therapeutic services will progress in a manner that works for you. This style allows us to create a safe, trusting space and in the process we can increase your self-esteem and problem solving skills.
My Background and Approach
I provide therapy in various settings, including with high-risk adolescents and adults. I offer therapy to clients struggling with depression, anxiety, PTSD, grief and loss, men's issues, and relationship difficulties. I always ensure trust and rapport are established with a client first before delving into the difficult parts of therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I personally believe that no one is beyond helping, and that everyone is capable of making positive difficult changes through the right support. Often times, people are victims of circumstances outside of their control, and problematic behavior patterns and self defeating thoughts that develop from these traumas and difficulties can be unlearned. As a child, I suffered personal tragedies that led me through my own experiences with grief and loss, and depression that goes along with it. Through the bond I formed with my Therapist that supported my ability to set goals and engage in additional support programs , I became whole again. This is why I believe that we are all capable of overcoming such great adversity through therapy, and in doing so, can become the strongest we have ever been.
