About My Clients
My clients come from all walks of life. If there is something in common with those I see is that they often are in a state of transition in their lives, ambivalence where to go next, and a disconnect with others to help them get there. I see adults of all ages who are prepared to change, or may be feeling stuck where they are in their lives. I invite you to step outdoors and find a new path.
My Background and Approach
I have over 20 years of therapy experience. I've worked across nearly every type of treatment setting: inpatient, residential, intensive outpatient, and outpatient. Through my experiences, the approach that has resonated with me the strongest is getting outdoors and working through problems in a more natural environment, opposed to an office setting. This experiential approach is what resonates with me strongest, although I am also more than happy to provide more traditional therapy when needed. I take a whole-person approach and consider the many contexts that makes up an individual's life to inform the approach I take to treatment. I have a great deal of experience working with younger and older adults, military, executives, and college students.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we have a limited time in this life and my quest is to make it the most meaningful life that it can be. I think a quote by William Penn best sums up why I do what I do: “I expect to pass through life but once. If therefore, there be any kindness I can show, or any good thing I can do to any fellow being, let me do it now, and not defer or neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.”
