About My Clients

I am a queer and nonbinary therapist who specializes in working with transgender, nonbinary, and gender expansive individuals. I have experience working with individuals, including youth, around concerns of gender identity development, gender dysphoria, and transition. Additionally, I am also trained to address a wide variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, and trauma. If you are seeking support with these concerns, or seeking a therapist who works with trans folks, I welcome you.

My Background and Approach

Our lives are shaped by the stories that we carry with us. Healing begins when we can safely share them with others. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process in which we get to recontextualize those stories through truthful and empowering reframes. Clients who work with me tend to find that I often weave their passions into the work we do together. Therapy is best done when we can show up authentically. The therapeutic relationship is arguably one of the most important factors that determine success in therapy. For that reason, I strive to create a space where there is mutual respect, trust, and authenticity. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are on your journey. I strive to create a space where my clients and their families can enhance their relationships with each other as they work through the confusion and discomfort associated with growth. I invite you to reach out to me to ask any questions you may have and confirm that I am a good fit for you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Power, oppression, and privilege cannot be separated from therapy. For that reason, our discussions will naturally center your individual experiences. Therapy must also acknowledge the ways in which racism, heterosexism, sexism, and transphobia, ableism, and other systems of oppression influence those experiences. Additionally, these factors are also considered when discussing treatment goals and resiliency.
