About My Clients
You may feel like you are always worrying and your mind never stops. Unexplainable dread wakes you up throughout the night. It's gotten so bad that you don't even enjoy your most favorite activities. Maybe you were diagnosed with depression when you were younger, but it's hard to say because home life was stressful. Now, panic attacks and self-doubt are at their worst. Clients who come to me felt this way too. We work to reduce these symptoms so that they, and you, can get back to living.
My Background and Approach
I use the following evidence-based therapies to treat anxiety, depression, and trauma: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) Solution-focused brief therapy Mindfulness I believe that therapy is collaborative and processing does not stop when the session ends. I often provide homework such as journaling or practicing learned skills at home to further enhance our work. I also value a whole-person approach in that some assignments or recommendations may include physical fitness, nutrition, and mindfulness activities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I would describe myself as compassionate and intuitive. I am straightforward, and I also love humor. Balance, humility, and kindness are paramount to my peace of mind. My most favorite part about the work that I do is meeting unique people. I believe knowledge can be found anywhere if we are open to receive it, and our connection to one another is greater than our differences. In working with you, I hope that you experience a safe place that enables your personal growth.
