My Background and Approach
Through my training and ongoing education, I stay up-to-date on the latest research and techniques in the field of therapy. I have experience using various evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Gestalt therapy, and exposure therapy. I will use techniques to challenge and restructure your thinking patterns, emphasize skills training such as mindfulness and distress tolerance, and engage you in role-playing, empty chair work, and guided visualization to gain insight into your behaviors and resolve internal conflicts. Using exposure therapy, I will slowly and cautiously expose you to situations, memories, or triggers causing distress. We will gradually desensitize your behaviors and reduce avoidance behaviors to help you regain a sense of safety and control. Our sessions will allow for self-reflection, introspection, and the opportunity to reframe unhelpful beliefs, ultimately enhancing your overall wellbeing.

By providing guidance, validation, and non-judgmental support, I work to ignite a sense of hope within clients as they are on their path of personal growth and transformation.
