My Background and Approach
We thank you for taking the time out to visit our page. We are a holistic group practice that utilizes a transpersonal psychology perspective. This focuses on the mind, body, and spirit. The idea is that it's not just the mind and body that needs healing and looking after, but also the spirit itself. It is concerned with the study of humanity's highest potential, and with the recognition, understanding, and realization of intuitive, spiritual, and transcendent states of consciousness. Furthermore, we are devoted to the liberation of Black individuals, couples, families, and communities across the diaspora by using African-centered modalities in addition to our conventional training in marriage and family. This is effective in aiding those who receive our services to achieve holistic wellness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
At A New Creation Psychotherapy Services LLC, we focus on the concept of post-traumatic growth which is a positive psychological change experienced as a result of the struggle with challenging life circumstances. This form of psychology focuses on positive growth and strength based therapy, as opposed to the common deficit focus. We also focus on transpersonal psychology which integrates spiritual tools and traditions along with conventional therapy. The idea is that it's not just the mind and body that need healing and looking after, but also the spirit itself. It is concerned with the study of humanity's highest potential, and with the recognition, understanding, and realization of intuitive, spiritual, and transcendent states of consciousness. We highlight the importance of taking care of the mind, body, and spirit which can facilitate transformation for our clients from the inside out.
