About My Clients
My ideal clients are teens, young adults, adults, and couples who are ready to make meaningful changes in their lives and relationships. I enjoy working with individuals facing anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, and unwanted habits or behaviors. I also work with men seeking personal growth and those who want to incorporate their Christian faith into the counseling process. My clients value honesty, practical tools, and a supportive space to grow and heal together.
My Background and Approach
My approach is warm, genuine, and collaborative. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, helping clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, build effective coping skills, and focus on practical solutions that move them toward their goals. I believe counseling should be both insightful and actionable, empowering clients to make meaningful and lasting changes. For couples, I have training in the Gottman Method, an evidence-based approach that helps partners improve communication, manage conflict effectively, deepen friendship, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. For clients who desire it, I also offer Christian counseling that thoughtfully integrates faith with proven therapeutic practices.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person has inherent worth, value, and the capacity for growth, regardless of their circumstances or past experiences. My role as a counselor is to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore challenges, gain insight, and develop practical tools for lasting change. I believe that healing occurs through authentic relationships, honest self-reflection, and a willingness to take meaningful steps forward. I value an approach that is both compassionate and goal-oriented, helping clients build on their strengths while addressing the obstacles that may be holding them back. I respect the unique experiences, backgrounds, and beliefs of every client and strive to meet each person where they are. For those who desire it, I also believe faith can be a powerful source of hope, healing, and direction, and I am honored to integrate Christian principles into the counseling process.
