About My Clients
When we experience sexual, pregnancy and birthing trauma it often impacts us for a lifetime. As women, we are given the unique experience of multiplying that which is given to us, and welcoming each new generation. But what happens when things do not go as planned? As you traverse the aftermath of what happened to you, it is often hard to connect to yourself spiritually, mentally and physically. Trauma processing feels impossible; AND you have the capacity to heal already inside of you.
My Background and Approach
I've earned my bachelor's degree from Stephens College in psychology. I've earned my masters of science degree in social work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. I've also earned my All Black Full Spectrum Doula certification from the Sumi's Touch Doula School.* My specialty is with melanated women and their families. Which included, practicing sacred womanhood, spirituality, and sensuality. I have served various populations such as the following: women, men, teen moms, first generation college students, people of color, foster care youth, couples, new parents, grandparents parenting, parents with an open CPS case, substance abuse, probation parents, and expecting parents. I have also worked with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, postpartum depression, postpartum psychosis, and grief.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Mind and body wellness is central to health. Connecting to your authentic self in therapy is a gateway to living your best life. Let's work together to unpack your story for clarity and peace.
