How I created 5 therapy related businesses

Jeff Guenther, LPC on May 12, 2017

I was recently interviewed on the fun and inspiring Therapist Clubhouse, a podcast for private practice entrepreneurs with Annie Schuessler

I was excited to share my journey over the last 12 years of my mental health career. Since 2005 I have started five different therapy related businesses. Not all ventures were a success. There were definitely some hiccups along the way. Such as starting my private practice before I was ready and having anxiety attacks in session that made me feel like I was peeing in my pants. No joke! Good times :)

Phantom pee attacks aside, I also talk about which projects I decided to focus on and why and how I manage my many diverse roles. One of my main reasons for being on the podcast with Annie is to inspire others to think about creating an additional stream of income. Diversifying my career with multiple income streams has been, hands down, the smartest business decision I have ever made. It’s also very satisfying personally. And it might not be as hard as you think.
